Facilities Maintenance Training Program
The Facilities Maintenance Training Program is a 6-month long program designed for non-native speakers of English who are interested in a career as a maintenance worker. It teaches the fundamentals of carpentry, plumbing, electricity, and cleaning plus English, math, and basic computers. The course includes a five-week internship.

The cost is $5,286 but free for low-income or dislocated workers who qualify for funding. English, math, writing and strength tests are required for admission, as well as an interview.

  • The class provides hands-on training.
  • English for the maintenance industry, construction math, computers & job readiness training.
  • Class cycles are August-January and February-July each year.
  • The class meets Monday - Friday in the late afternoon.
  • When you have finished the program, AACA will work with you to find employment.

Testing / Information sessions are held every Tuesday at 11 AM. No appointment necessary. Test takes 2 hours.
