Tutoring Opportunities

Adult immigrant students in our English classes and job training programs are most often available at the following times:

Time commitment: 1-2 hours per week for a minimum of 3-4 months.

Help students with reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.  Basic math and computer skills are also often in demand, and some students need help with job readiness (resumes, cover letters, interviewing skills and online job searches)..

Fluency in another language (especially Mandarin or Cantonese Chinese) is sometimes helpful but not required.
