Building Energy Efficient Maintenance Skills
The BEEMS Program is a FREE 13-week program that places participants in a career as a maintenance technician/engineer.
This hands-on course teaches the fundamentals of carpentry, plumbing, electricity, and job skills needed to succeed.
Classes are held at AACA in the early evenings twice a week.
The next class begins on February 25th, 2026.
What will I learn?
3-Month Training Program Includes:

Basic carpentry, plumbing, electricity, and building efficiency

Help with resumes, interviews, and applying for industry jobs

OSHA 10 certificate
Where will I work?
AACA employer partners include major hospitals, hotels, property management groups, schools, and many other sectors.

​BEEMS is a pre-apprenticeship program that connects graduates with apprenticeship options with our employer partners.

Requirements

The program is free for low-income workers who qualify for funding

18+ years old

Must have legal status in the U.S.

Valid U.S. driver’s license (preferred)

Committed to working in the maintenance field upon completing the program.
