Building Energy Efficient Maintenance Skills
 

The BEEMS Program is a FREE 13-week program that places participants in a career as a maintenance technician/engineer.

 

This hands-on course teaches the fundamentals of carpentry, plumbing, electricity, and job skills needed to succeed. 

 

Classes are held at AACA in the early evenings twice a week.

What will I learn?

3-Month Training Program Includes:

​

  • Basic carpentry, plumbing, electricity, and building efficiency 

  • Help with resumes, interviews, and applying for industry jobs

  • OSHA 10 certificate

Where will I work?

AACA employer partners include major hospitals, hotels, property management groups, schools, and many other sectors.

​

​BEEMS is a pre-apprenticeship program that connects graduates with apprenticeship options with our employer partners.

We provide direct job search assistance during training. We connect you with our employer partners and help you apply so you can start your great new career.

Job Retention

​

We provide two years of career support to help you move up the career ladder and help you reach your potential.

Requirements

  • The program is free for low-income workers who qualify for funding

  • 18+ years old

  • Must have legal status in the U.S.

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license (preferred)

  • CORI friendly

  • Committed to working in the maintenance field upon completing the program.
